Tip 7 - Glasses Can Cause Unwanted Reflections in Studio Photos

The problem with wearing glasses in a photo studio is that the lighting will result in distracting reflections right across the eyes. Our photographers advise removing glasses but completely understand if you do not feel comfortable doing this.

Anti-glare lenses help may help but may still be prone to reflection problems. The ideal solution is to bring along several pairs of glasses which have the lenses taken out. You online dating portraits will look natural and clean.

Solutions to Spectacle Problems in our London Photo Studios

  • If possible, remove your glasses to prevent distracting reflections
  • Anti glare lenses may work but are not a perfect solution
  • Spectacle frames with the lenses removed is a very effective option
  • Photo chromic lenses should be avoided

Photo chromic lenses will look too dark in your portrait, and and should be avoided. When removing the lenses is not an option, the face can be photographed with and without glasses and the eyes replaced using digital retouching - again, this is not a perfect solution as it will severely restrict the range of posing techniques used during the studio shoot.
